As our population ages, it is important to recognize the needs of our senior citizens. A Senior Center provides a space for seniors to gather, socialize, and participate in activities that promote health and well-being. The center can offer a range of programs, such as fitness classes, educational seminars, and social events, that help seniors stay active and engaged in the community.

On April 19, 2023, the City of Jackson, TN hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Men's Homeless Shelter. The event was attended by various city officials, including Mayor Scott Conger, Chief Innovation Officer Lauren Kirk, and City Council members, as well as representatives from the Jackson Housing Authority, Tennessee Homeless Solutions, and community members.
