Keep Jackson Beautiful to participate in Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT)’s No Trash November
Posted on 11/02/2023

Jackson, TNKeep Jackson Beautiful is proud to announce its participation in the Tennessee Department of Transportation's (TDOT) No Trash November, a statewide initiative that encourages Tennesseans to take part in community cleanup events throughout the month. Last year, this campaign witnessed the incredible effort of 1,300 volunteers across the state, resulting in the collection of over 48,000 pounds of litter from our state's roadways.

In collaboration with Keep Tennessee Beautiful and Love Your Block, this initiative invites all residents to either join existing cleanup events or host their own community cleanup in November.

"We are thrilled to join forces with partners across the state to combat litter and fulfill our mission to create cleaner, more attractive communities,” said Danielle Wade, Keep Jackson Beautiful Coordinator. “Together, we aim to leave a lasting impact on our beautiful community."

We urge all residents to demonstrate their support for a litter-free Jackson by using the #NoTrashNovember hashtags on social media, showcasing their efforts in litter prevention throughout the month.

Join us in keeping Jackson beautiful by participating in the following local litter cleanup events:

  • November 2, 4-6 pm at Coffman's Furniture (2845 US 45 Bypass).
  • November 4, 10 am-12 pm at The Cove on Roland Ave.
  • November 16, 4-6 pm at UofM Hyde Parking Lot.
  • November 18, 10 am-12 pm at Community Bank & Trust (3093 N. Highland Ave).
