Posted on 01/07/2021

JACKSON, Tenn. – After completing a nationwide search, the City of Jackson has selected Tom Wolf as the new director of engineering.

“Tom has the experience that we need to get to the next level,” said Mayor Scott Conger. “We want to improve quality of life for our residents and also plan for the future. Tom will ensure that our foundation is strong so that any growth won’t be inhibited.”

Wolf was previously the city engineer for the City of Spring Hill during its time as the fastest growing city in the state of Tennessee.

“Jackson is an incredible city with a lot to offer potential businesses and residents,” said Wolf. “I can easily see it being part of the next population boom as people migrate out of larger metropolitan areas. All of the pieces are starting to come together – affordable housing, healthcare, business resources, higher education, entertainment, etc. I’m looking forward to accelerating that process and making sure the city is ready to serve.”

He graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and now brings 45 years of experience to the position. He is licensed in Wisconsin, Florida and Tennessee.

Wolf is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
